Vertical Spray Dryers
The Vertical Spray Dryer is the result of developing a dryer that provides high performance, once through drying at a low cost and in a minimal amount of space.

The vertical drying chamber is designed with a conical lower section, and adapts to a variety of air and powder outlets depending upon application. The heart of the dryer system is the utilization of a multi-nozzle air inlet system, where the intake air and product to be dried are brought together.

The concentrated product is atomized and mixed with heated air prior to entering the top of the drying chamber. Evaporation starts in the base of the air inlet where the atomized wet product and heated air are introduced at high velocity and blended.

Evaporation is virtually instantaneous. The air inlet design allows for the use of higher drying temperatures and substantially less intake air than other styles. Typical dryer efficiency is 1880 btu / lb. dried powder at 70 degrees F.

The dryer incorporates a fabric collector system for most products. We utilize an independent fabric collection system which meets both sanitary standards and State and Federal EPA emissions standards on a guaranteed basis.
